Meet Our Adoptable Dogs

Mallory and Oliver

Mallory and Oliver are 1-year-old siblings that are GORGEOUS Catahoula-Aussie mixes. They are full grown at about 45 lbs apiece.

They seem to have never been separated, so we would like to keep them together. They will have a special adoption price for whatever family can open their hearts and home to 2 loving, trained, calm, playful, sweet and loving dogs!

Oliver has one blue eye and one brown, very common for herding dogs, and Mallory has two golden brown eyes. They love to cuddle each other and love other dogs as well. Ollie is a bit more active and likes to chase a ball; Mallie is quieter and if she can't be with her brother she will want to be with a human.

Both have had spay/neuter, microchips and all shots and are totally healthy, though Mallie has a slightly limp back leg which is likely to be from an old injury. She is still active and playful.

Carson

Carson is the Big Man of his litter. He is a gorgeous cream and white color with caramel and tan markings. He is a goofball and very playful and sweet.

Carson is expected to be about 40-45 lbs full grown and looks like he has the most Australian Shepherd mix in him as well.

Carson is REALLY smart and almost housebroken as well as crate-trained. He has even gotten to sleep in the bed a couple times with one of us and was a good boy all night long.

Carson loves to chase the ball and tumble with the other dogs, he is very responsive and alert as well as a snuggle-bug.

Please contact us WITH APPLICATION if interested in adding Carson to your family, he will be a loyal, loving, healthy and adorable playmate and companion.

Bruce and Quincy

BRUCE and QUINCY are 14 week old LITTERMATES - yes, the beauty of purebred Australian Shepherds means any possible coat-color combination in the litter. Bruce is a red merle and Quincy is a black-tri.

Bruce and Quincy are healthy, happy, well-adjusted, confident, cuddly Aussies - they are the perfect age for beginning pre-agility training and are already learning basic commands.

These puppies have wonderful personalities and are gentle, loving and smart dogs for families. Although Aussies do love the outdoors and lots of fresh air and exercise, they can also be raised as companion pets who will do fine in the right apartment or small-home setting.

Both these boys are in a foster home with other dogs where they run around and play beautifully with everyone. They are crate-trained and nearly housebroken.

Jack

JACK is the sweetest lug of a boy! He is a big, beautiful manly-man dog who also is gentle and cuddly and smart.

Jack has the smooth, handsome coat of the mastiff but the face of a German Shepherd/retriever. He has huge, soulful brown eyes that will melt your heart.

Jack and his sister were found tied to a tree and abandoned in an empty yard; his sister has found a home and now Jack needs to find HIS forever family. He is fully vetted and healthy and had a slight ear infection for which he is on antibiotics.

Jack will make an excellent playmate, cuddler and companion. If you're a single guy this partner will surely help you reel in the chicks; if you're a single woman Jack will look like a staunch protector but score cool-dog points with potential male companions.

Sugar

Sugar has demonstrated aggression toward SMALL DOGS ON LEASHES. She has lived off-leash successfully with dogs from 5-80 lbs, but she seems to be overly interested in leashed, small dogs on walks. Sugar should live in a home with a backyard.

Sugar is an unbelievably great dog - a truly "gentle giant" at about 60 lbs, she is only 18 months- 2 years old and totally trained. She never jumps up on you when you walk in BUT if you allow her to she will crawl on your lab like a small-breed dog!

Sugar licks with love and is so kind and sweet to other big dogs and to kids and all people. She is ALL MUSCLE and in beautiful shape. She does not demand a lot of exercise or excess attention, she is comfortable to just hang around, take leisurely walks and be a great companion dog. Kids could lie on her like a pillow and watch movies.

Sugar is housebroken once she knows where the back door is. She is not a barker but does like to run and play at the dog park if she gets a chance.

Please inquire about this happy, loving, faithful girl!

Beemer

Beemer, 55lbs, about 15 months old, is a gentle giant shown here with Emily, 40 lbs. He LOVES kids and every person and dog he meets!

Beemer was found by some neighbors who lovingly took him in while we all tried to find owners. Sadly, Beemer had no ID or chip and we took him in to find him a new forever home.

Beemer loves to play ball, loves the dog park, doesn't know a stranger and thinks he is a lap dog! He responds very well to training though he needs some work on the leash. He shows no aggression toward anyone or anything and wants nothing more than by to lie by a human's side.

Beemer does love to run and would make an excellent running partner. He responds to commands and is totally housebroken.

Avalanche

AVALANCHE is a gorgeous Pyr-Husky mix who came to Texas from a ranch in New Mexico. He and his "sister" Cowgirl took no time to become indoor, lovable fluffball pets!

Avie as we call him is SO SWEET and gentle. At first he wasn't sure what to make of the tile floors and soft furniture, but now he seems content to never leave a human's side. He loves leash walks and is beautifully calm and docile on a leash - he doesn't know an enemy in dogs or humans and would not care less about a cat!

Avie also loves kids and loves to snuggle. He is very happy with a chewie or challenging toy, he can amuse himself for hours. He also really loves his time outdoors.

Now, Avalanche has one issue, which is that he can scale a fence. He should not be left alone in the yard ANYWAY, but certainly not left outside with no one at home for any length of time. Avie has that nomadic husky in him and they can cover long distances -- and he has!

Apartments or condos are fine, but only houses with a minimum 6-foot privacy fence will be acceptable for application, please!

Avalanche is about 4 years old; an extra $50 will get him a full dental/tooth cleaning (about $300+ normally) and other than that he is healthy, h/w negative and current on every shot!

Wrangler

9-month old WRANGLER and his twin sister Bella were owner-surrendered to a rural Texas shelter when the family lost its home. Wrangler has been an indoor family dog his whole life and is well-trained and housebroken!

Wrangler would be an excellent agility dog or frisbee or flyball contender; he is very fast and athletic and loves all other dogs and people. He is gentle and sweet and lived with small children. he knows some commands like "sit" and "lie down" when he feel like showing off.

Wrangler's sister was adopted this morning so now more than ever we want to find him his forever home.

If you are looking for a purebred but pet-quality Australian Shepherd, Wrangler is a gorgeous red-merle with a medium coat, olive eyes and a sweet, docile and loving personality. He can lie contently by your side for hours or go on walks, jogs and runs. Aussies are also natural swimmers.

Puppies!

6 PIT PUPPIES age 7 weeks old will be ready for adoption Friday, August 20th.

We at North Dallas Dog Rescue have had these babies and their Mama in our care since they were 4 days old, July 4th weekend: the boys are Thomas, Jefferson and Justice and the girls are Faith, Liberty and Indie.

All six have been nursed 6 and 1/2 weeks and are now weaned; they eat 2.5 cups a day of protein and calorie packed puppy kibble. They are CRATE TRAINED and learning how to go potty only outdoors, but this will take conitnued work as they are just babies.

These are roly-poly tumbly pit mixes who appear to be heavily pit, but mama will only be about 50 lbs when she puts on more weight.

Our pits are available to homes as LOVED PETS, and any cosmetic changes to their appearance are not allowed: no tail-docking, no ear pinning, etc. Use of any of our dogs for protection or "guarding" is not allowed!

All babies have been handled by humans their whole lives, they are gentle and loving and ready to be in homes as pet companions. All would do very well with at least one other dog in the home for guidance and companionship.

Kimmy

KIMMY is an adorable 2-year-old terrier mix who is beautiful, sweet, playful, loving the new pack she is meeting and looking to be someone's spoiled princess!

Kimmy is a definite lap dog and cuddler. She is a bit hesitant around other dogs on leashed but off leash she loves to play and is trying to play with every dog big and small in our pack.

Kimmy only weighs about 8-9 lbs, she is a petite little girl who would be great in an apartment or house. She is crate-trained and housebroken.

Kimmy prefers to be with people as much as she can, she would not like a home where her humans are gone all day, but would be a little better if there is at least one other dog to keep her company.

Kimmy is great on a leash and a typically smart, loyal and loving Westie mix.
